$50.00
- Description
The Vineyard
The Weir Vineyard Yorkville Highlands is located on a south facing hillside of rocky gravely soils at an elevation that ranges between 850 and 1000 feet. Cool ocean air funnels up the Anderson Valley to regulate the ripening of the exceptional fruit from this vineyard.Winemaker Notes
Immediately upon nosing the glass of our 2019 Weir Vineyard, hailing from Mendocino County’s Yorkville Highlands AVA, it asserts its singular terroir. With a laser beam of Rainier cherry fruit blasting from the glass, distinct notes of citrus and cherry bark hint at the substantial structure lurking at this wines core. The broad palate carries this glorious tension through with pure red fruits, framed by subtly substantial tannins and a negroni-like hint of orange peel echoing around the edges. On the finish, as the tannins linger in the mouth, allowing for an extended moment of contemplation, it becomes undeniable that our 2019 Weir Vineyard has a long life ahead of it!Vinification
