2012 Rosé Vin Gris Sonoma County

Description

This special wine derived from each lot of Pinot Noir entering the winery was drained off at the destemmer to prevent color pickup and then transferred to a stainless steel tank and fermented at 50 degrees Fahrenheit. This process was repeated throughout harvest creating a long drawn out 2 month fermentation creating bright complex aromatics.

A light salmon color. Freshness spills from the glass as aromas of watermelon and strawberry flirt with white peach and citrus notes. Bright acidity carries these flavors through on the palate to a refreshing finish. It is ideally served chilled and is perfect for Sunday afternoon sipping in summer.
